We know that most of our visitors are probably coming here from our old site. So, just for them, we decided to make a page telling them about all of the new features and goodies we have on the new site. Remember though, we'll be adding new features all the time, but they won't get listed here. This page is just for what was new when we launched SAFE.
- We have a completely new layout and name, made by Alway.
- We have a user login and register system that is integrated with our PHPBB3 forums, so you don't have to have a seperate account for the main site and for the forums. This was hard to do because we don't know anything about PHPBB.
- We have a random quote engine in the right sidebar which has an "Another" button which uses an AJAX function to refresh itself without refreshing the whole page.
- Our poll in the sidebar doesn't use crappy inefficient code anymore, and is just generally much better.
- We now use PHPBB3 forums, which are hosted on our server, and have a decent layout.
- Alway made the Guestbook himself, instead of using some random free guestbook script.
- You can now post comments on our articles and news posts/updates.
- Our school quotes page is more automated now, and we've added a few quotes.
- Our home page updates are more automated.
- Our update archives are nearly completely automated.
- We got rid of some useless pages and menu categories.
- We added some more useful pages and menu categories.
