I have put this page together to define exactly what the purpose and/or goal is of this website, Society Against Forced Education.
The goal of this website, in summary, is to make school as we know it optional. In more detail, we also want to cause a political change that would allow homeschooled and unschooled (or any other perfectly fine method of education) children to be viewed by future employers, and society in general as equals to children who endured the traditional school system.
Such a change would likely bring about more, different methods of schooling/education, which would mean all children would be able to have an education that would be much better suited for them. All children are different, so they must be taught in different ways.
Aside from that, SAFE also has other goals, as listed here:
- To provide a nice, welcoming environment in which students can take refuge from school suring the hours that they are not bound by schools limitations.
- To encourage collaboration amongst users so that our other goals may be acheieved much easier.
- To raise general awareness of the problems with the traditional school system.
